Hi,
we are doing upgrade from 7.01 SPS25 to 7.1 SPS11. we are on DB2 with Linux.
currently in downtime (execution) phase and facing an error in MAIN_SWITCH/STARTSAP_TRANS.
Checks after phase MAIN_SWITCH/STARTSAP_TRANS were negative!
Last error code set: RFC login to system FSP ashost helfsp01 nr 10

strange.
this may help.
1. do you have permanent license already applied? if not try logging in to your shadow system , client 000, SAP* . and try to apply permanent license.
2. another thing is to check in your /usr/sap/<SID>?DVEBMGS10/exe whether sapcryptolib exist. if not, put it there.
3. check this profile parameters.
ssf/name = SAPSECULIB
sec/libsapsecu = $(ssl/ssl_lib) (this is how it is in my profile)
ssf/ssfapi_lib = $(ssl/ssl_lib) (this is how it is in my profile)
repeat the phase with INIT box checked.
do you see dw.xxxx processes running for your shadow instance. and sapstartsrv as well?

yes, permanent license applied.
sapcryptolib was not in DVEBMGS10/exe so i put it there.
profile parameter are already exist.
dw processes are running. 10 of them. sapstartsrv running since this morning.

Hi Samirr,
It seems your libkey is not initialized which helps you to initialize lickey.
this should not happen.
also i think you have already passed SUBMODE_INSTNR_CHG phase. so this needs to be reinialized.
how about stopping your shadow instance.
STOPSAP DVEBMGS10 <host name>
and re run the phase with INIT box checked?

Indeed clean restart (even sapstratsrv cleared) has solved. and i have already copied tp/dw/Rx****** kernel files to DVEBMGS10/exe.

Hi Basis,
Kindly share SAPup.log and INSTANCE.OUT files.In addition check for
RFC_LOGON_FAILURE: Logon not possible (error in license check)
In addition please follow SAP Note 1512766 - Most common reasons for error message: "Logon not possible (error in license check)"
as logs suggesting to check for valid license.
