BRM - Org value mapping

Hi community,

I have a doubt about org. value mappings with derived roles. When I derive a role, I select an org. value mapping with organizationals values. Then I generate this. The problem is I can not see from the master rol the name of the org. value mapping variable selected (I only see the Leading Org. Level) for this derived roles. This informations is stored in GRACRLORGLVMPG table but I can not find when grc shows it.

Please, anyone can help me?

Kind regards,

Claudio,

Hi Claudio,

First you have to create/maintain/generate the master role with the organization field contents. Unles you complete all the steps for the master role you would not be able to see the organizational fields for the derived roles.

For derived roles:

Manage derived roles: Once you go to manage the derive role, under select organization value mappings you would be able to see the leading organizational level and in the drop down you can select the respective organizational field contents  and the you can specify the limit of the values.

If you still have any issues, kindly paste some of the screen captures.

Hi Ameet, thank you for the response. I did what you mentioned, but in the master role I can not see the org. value mapping selected for the derived one (I only see the Leading Org. Level). For example:

And in the GRACRLORGLVMPG table we have the name of the org value mapping selected. But we can not see this from NWBC

We need to see it because we have severals org. values mapping for company.

Thanks

Kind regards,

Claudio

Hi Claudio,

I assue you have multiple organizational fields in your master role and you want to have the same in derived roles but ofcourse with different field contents (as per requirement).

Like I said, first you need to maintain the authorizations for the master role no matter how many organizational field contents you have in there. Once you come out of the maintenance of the master role to deriving the child roles, the moment you click on derive option, you would see a new screen where you must be able to see LEADING ORG. LEVEL and under drop down you would see all the corresponding organizational fields same as that of available in the master role.

Now you opt these fields one by one and specify the limits of the fields as well.

For ex: I opted Purchasing group and specified the values then clicked NEXT.

Same steps you can repeat for all the rest organizational fields

Hope now this should be clear to you. Let me know for any more details.

Hi Ameet thanks for the reponse.

I raised an OSS and sap tell that the application does not currently offer such functionality.

The field ORG_VAL_MAP in table GRACRLORGLVMPG is not showed in any step from methodology.
