LSMW error: Field name '' used more than once in file"

Hi,

I am doing a sample vendor master load with LSMW but while reading data I am getting an error

"Field name '' used more than once in file

'C:\Users\sdurgia\Desktop\LSMW\MM\vendor_master_te

s'."

Not getting proper reason.Can you please guide?

Urgent please help.

In your LSMW go to "Maintain Source Fields", click on button "Fields with same name" on the right hand side of your menu bar.

can you try by redueing the filename. I also got same error which resolved ny reduing the file path length.

The problem is in your recording.

It is possible, but rare, that the technical fieldname has been used more than once in a recording, for example in 2 different tables. Make sure you change the technical name of the field, so that it is not the same in both screen input fields, or else the system will not be able to differentiate the fields.

Is your problem solved? As I mentioned, it is in your recording. You have clicked on "Default All" and this has resulted in a field name being used more than once.

One needs to check the checkbox 'Field order matches Source structure Definition' in step 7.
