Duplicate stock posting in 501 movement type

We are fine tune configuring on sandbox for food processing client.

Our senario/process flow is as follows.

1. We raise sales order

2. We initiate process order wrt sales order.

3. On availability check in process order , materials are shown as missing, then we raise purchase requisition for those material.

4. In Purchase requisition/order we are not giving sales order reference because if given the raw material stock will go to direct consumption type. Which we do not want to happen for valuation purposes.

5. After Purchase order we receive the the raw material without reference to sales order.

6. In order to assign this material to our process order(wrt sales order). We have to change this RM stock from unrestricted to special stock with indicator E.

7 For this purpose we are doing goods issue in MIGO for same storage location with movement type 501 E.

8. Once RM stock gets E indicator it can be assigned in the process order and can be consumed.

9. But the issue is in storage location there will be two lots of RM with same quantity but two movement types 101 and 501 E(sales order stock).

10. RM stock with 501 E gets consumed with process order but the RM stock with type 101 remains in the storage location.

11. So what shall be the ideal movement to get E indicator(special stock indicator) to RM stock.

Please let me know if you need anymore info.

Thanks in advance.

How did you get the idea that you consume stock with 501 movement? The text alone should already be explanation enough, it is receipt without order.

So you actually received the quantity twice. Once with 101 against purchase order to neutral stock and again with 501 without PO to sales order stock.

You should have done a transfer posting instead, from unrestricted warehouse stock to sales order stock with movement 412 E
