How to configure mail in XI

Hi

Can anybody show me a step by step configuration for sending mail notification in XI

My scenario is (Legacy)File->XI->File(SAP)

Hi Debraj,

The best way to use the Mail is by using the Mail Adapter (SMTP) within BPM. If its the file, then I assume its a async interface.

The steps will be,

Outbound Interface as an entry to BPM to Receiver Step --> Transformation (Between Input and Output Structure) --> Use Switch If you want to, to put the logic for the error to send an email.

You have to do all these in the Integration Design, then import this BPM into the IC.

You are saying that your scenario is File to File. Where exactly you want to send a Mail notification? Is it based on some condition?

Please give more details.
