Lead to Cash scenario for Rail Freight

Dear All

I wish to learn more about SAP's solution for Rail Freight Lead-to-cash process. I managed to download the "4503 Laying the Tracks to Railway LeadtoCash.pdf" document which describes the process in fairly good detail. However, I wish to know if there was any webinar / podcast of this process which I could replay.

Look forward to hear from SAP product leads / solution architects on where I can read more on this scenario.

Hi Sangeeth,

Lead-To-Cash (L2C) for rail basically covers two parts of the rail business from the commercial point of view.. The first part is Lead-To-Contract (L2C) which starts getting a Customer Price Inquiry for goods transportation (Lead), negotiation(Quote) and finally the agreement with the rail carrier(Contract) and the second part is the Order-To-Cash (O2C) process.  This part basically relates the Order Management process including Order Entry, Order Fulfilment, Charge Management and finally Invoicing and Freight Settlement.

With SAP TM this processes can be covered but the implementation depends on the business model that each rail company has and the level of integration that these processes have with Rail Operations as there is an strong influence on the commercial aspects.

There are at the moment no webinars or podcast available as they are in construction now.  As soon as they are ready we will make them available.

On the mean while, if you have specific questions, please feel free of post them here and I will take them.
