MSS: Team View Drill Down Capabilities

Hi all,

Is there a way that you can be able to drill down through employees in the Team View?  I'm trying to figure out if when employees are loaded, if they are a chief, the little + sign shows up beside the photo, and you can then drill down to see who reports to that manager.

Hope this makes sense.

Cheers,

Kevin

Hi Sahir,

Thanks for the information, but I should have mentioned that we are only on Feature Pack 3.

what screen you have? We do have drill down available ie in table VC_HIER_VIS Please use the original HRMSS_PERSON_EVAL_PATH in MSS_BIZ_RULE2. ensure 0105 and 0001 is assigned to the pernrs HRMSS_PERSON_EVAL_PATH_OPT. This function module works fine only if the manager position belongs to the same Organization unit which he/she is heading. Well, the "+" icon is depended on the depth information maintained in the Hierarchy Configuration view: VC_HIER_VIS. Besides that the "+" icon will only appear if the Person is a manager and has exployees reporting under him.In the view for the Hierarchy view: MSSBIZVIEW you can maintain the hierarchy depth you want. check your config via RHSTRU00 and all the relationships etc 1921771    MSS Team Hierarchy displaying duplicates 1604280    MSS Add-On 1.0: Team view with vacant chief positi 1874122    OTYPE check in Function Module HRMSS_PERSON_EVAL_PA

Hi Siddharth,

I think a lot of the problem is not having proper things set up in the right spots.  Basically I would like to do the same thing as that Object Selection HRMSS_OBJ_NODES does, but instead of the target nodes showing Positions, I want it to show Employees that report to the current org being displayed.

I have it working now so the Org Units show up and I can drill down into them, and the Employee's are showing up too, but the silhouette picture that is supposed to show is not coming through now.  The image for the org units is there.

We are using HR Renewal 1.0 Feature Pack 3.

can you show your screen?

Hey Siddharth,

Ok, so things have changed a bit now.  What we want to do is display all the employees only that report to a manager, BUT if that employee is a manager, have the ability to drill down into the employee to view their direct reports until they reach the bottom of the org.

I'll get a pic soon, just on a different machine right now.

Hi Siddharth,

Here is a picture of that screen.  I have covered up the names.  But as you can see, the pictogram for the org chart is coming in.  I did choose the Person pictogram for the employee, but as you can see, it is not there.  Somewhere in the code, the pictogram reference is being deleted.  I'm not sure where, but doesn't make sense to me.  Whe you hover over, information on the employees and the org are coming up.  I would still like to get this to work.

Hi Siddharth,

I have the pictures working now, not the way I want, but by setting the Default Photo Path in the Object Field Group.  The silhouettes would be much nicer...

Anyway, now, the next thing is to figure it out if it's possible to remove the root org unit from the display or not, since you can't drill down into it.

Cheers,

Kevin

Hi,

I have found out that you cannot remove the root org unit.  Everything will fail if done.  I have also managed to set the silhouettes the way I want and found their location in the MIME repository.
