Cross Company Code Transfer

Dear Experts ,

we have following requirement from the Client-

Previously the client company is having two different company codes now they want to transfer all the employees in the two company codes to one new company code

Here My Requirement Is how to Copy all The Info types Data from Previous company Code to New Company Code ,Please experts give me valuable Inputs ,I am able to execute Re-Hiring And Separation on the Same day But I am Unable To Copy data from all the Info types to New Personal number .

Hi Anusha,

Is there any specific requirement to separate the employee and create new Personal nos.? Change of company code is generally done by simply transferring the employee to new company code and retaining the existing Personal no. and master data.

NO ,mainly our requirement is need to transfer all these employees from the Previous two company code to the new company Codes ,Can provide some information how to handle this .

Hi Anusha,

In that case, you only need to create an action (Inter company code transfer) or use any existing action which calls IT 0001. Change the company code (Personnel Area) in IT 0001 while running the action and you are done.

In case if this request is for India, there are few points that need to be looked at while changing company code for an employee. I am not sure about other countries

1. IT 0045 loans cannot be transferred within company codes. Hence, they should be closed before moving the employees to new company code. Make a complete repayment of remaining loan balance in old company code and create a new loan with the same remaining balance in new company code.

2. Confirm if multiple form 16 switch is activated in system (search about multiple form 16 in SCN for more info. There are lots of threads on that). As far as I know this switch is to be activated during go-live or from the beginning of a financial year.

In case if the switch is not activated, a single form 16 will be generated for employee assuming that employee was in the new company code for the whole financial year.

It is better to discuss and understand client expectation on this (whether they need a single form 16 or separate form 16 for each company code).

Am not sure whether this is feasible or not.......

Assign your personnel areas to only one company code (new) in the below step:

IMG--> Enterprise Structure --> Assign Personnel Areas to Company code

I mean change of personnel area assignment.
