Clarification on Time sensitivity materials

Hello Experts,

We want to use Time sensitive Materials (TSM) feature in SAP ME 15.0.3.32. Please provide me your inputs on how to go about below scenario.

We have around 100 materials which are time sensitive per shop order. All these materials are setup with TSM data in material maintenance screen. User will perform check out/in of inventory when he bag is open/close. As per ME Design, ME will only block expired materials from consuming when user performs assmble operation. Performing assemble for 100 + materials per SFC is time-consuming and not practical in High volume manufacturing.

Is there a way to automate the process of assigning selected inventories to Shop order and then perform auto assemble?

Hi,

It seems you need a time-based assembly for TSM. I doubt such feature is available because the documentation mentions explicitly only the case of manual assembly where validation of the component's Inv ID being not expired and checked out is executed at clicking ADD button in Assembly Point plugin. Moreover, I do not see any implementation of resource setup check that could notify about any loaded TSM which is getting close to its expiry date.

So, I doubt you have any option besides a manual assembly.
