Receiver content conversion

Hi All,

I got below error while working with receiver file content conversion scenario.

Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: java.lang.Exception: Exception in XML Parser (format problem?):'java.lang.Exception: Message processing failed in XML parser: 'java.lang.Exception: Column value '2350' too long (>2 for 3. column) - must stop', probably configuration error in file adapter (XML parser error)'.

I have checked length and source element existence. Both are ok.. I have mapped multiple source elements and contstant values to one target element (The one which is getting error). All source elements are existed. Why am I getting the error?

Thanks inadvance.

Best Regards,

Ashok.

It's not about existence of the field.

The expected value for that particular field is 2 digits where as you are sending a 4 digit value.

Either adjust the content conversion or apply the sub string in the mapping for that field.

    • Hi Hareesh,

Thanks for your answer. I have used substring function already. Please go through below details...

Target field is Group, length is 12

Source fields are for suppose X, Y, Z and some constant values.

X value from source is 2350, then constant RF and both are concatenated

Y value is ABCD, used substring and AB is taken and concatenated to above result

Z value is 1111 and concatenated to above result..

      Please help..

      Best Regards,

      Ashok.

    Hi Ashok,

You are passing value 2350, But its expecting only 2 digits.

Use substring function, it may resolve.

    Thanks & Regards,

    A.Neelima.
