Monitoring remote MS SQL in Solman DBAcockpit via SAProuter

Hello,

I have installed a solution manager 7.1 SP11 on windows 2008 and a Sybase 15.7 DB.

I want to monitor a managed system that resides in another network.

the communication between the Solman and the managed system is done through Saprouters on both sides of the networks.

The managed system has is an ECC6 with MS SQL 2012. while going through the managed system configuration i came to the point Enter System Parameters where i have to make the connection from the managed system DB to the DBA cockpit of the solution manager.

Is it possible to make the conection from a remote MS SQL to DBAcockpit through Saprouters?

i went through the notes 1316740 and 1458291 but they did not mention anything about the connection through saprouter

Is it possible to make the connection through a RFC connection? The RFC is is working between the 2 systems through the saprouters.

i have tried this option through the database connection in the DBAcockpit but it didnt work for me. I do not know if other configuration is needed to make it work.

Best Regards,

Hassan Khanafer

Hi Hassan,

I don't think it's possible to setup DBAcockpit with a direct interaction/connection.
