Stock posting from "unrestricted usage" to "Quality inspection" stock

Dear QM experts,

I want to post the stock from "unrestricted usage" to "Quality inspection" stock. I am receiving the error while doing 322 mvt and 349 mvt as "Change quantity posting through QM only" .  In material master the valid inspection type is activated.So i am unable to move the stock from "unrestricted usage" to "Quality inspection" stock through 322 mvt and also by using the 2 step process 344 mvt and 349 mvt. Is there any other method by moving the stock from "unrestricted usage" to "Quality inspection" stock without deactivating the inspection type from material master?

Hi Bala,

As you do not want to deactivate inspection type from material master, i think you want inspection lot to be created with this Inspection type.

And i assume you are using 08 inspection type for the same.

Instead of 322 movement, try 311 for the same Storage location, as 08 inspection type is active, system will post stock into QI and create inspection lot for this posting.

Check and Confirm.

Most important thing is that why do you want to move the material from unrestricted stock to quality stock when QM master is maintained?

You yourself have stated that you know that inspection types intervenes in moving material in this way.

If by any chance you require to restrict the processing of this quantity, better move it to block stock.

I assume person trying to make 322 or 349 isn't QM user. So if you anyhow get this into QI (either by 08 or reversal program), same user would again get this error while trying to move the stock out of quality.

Anyway, solution to this problem is also given in the thread and you can adopt that. I commented just to know the logic behind doing this.

Hi,

Yes, you would either need to activate the 08 inspection or implement the mentioned Note i.e basically UD reversal program.

• If you do not need the document reversal and just want to bring the quantity back into QI, better go with 08 inspection type. This will create an inspection lot.

• And , if you do not wish to create another inspection lot but only quantity reversal is needed, go for the program RQEVAC50. This would bring the qty back in QI against the same inspection lot number.

Delete any inspection types in the material master.

You should than be able to use standard material movements to move the stoc into Qi and out of QI.

Hi,

You have to implement the sap note: 175842.

1.  Open the SAP Note 175842 - Inspection Lot: Reversal of goods movements from UD as below   from SAP market place.

2.  If you scroll down, there will be a correction instructions available at the bottom. There click on the correction note number 298389.

3.  If you click on that correction instruction, the sub note will open. There again you scroll down, there will be object description for the object  RQEVAC50.

4.  The corresponding program code will open

5.  WIth the help of ABAPer, copy the code and create a Z Program in your system

6.  Assign a T Code for this program and execute. The input field will be Quality Inspection Lot. Enter the

7.  Inspection Lot Number and Execute.

8.  Inspection Lot Status after UD and Stock Posting Completion (UD ICCO SPCO)

9.  Inspection Lot Status after reversal of UD and Stock posting. (UD ICCO SPRQ)

Hi,

As per Mr. Balakrishnan post, there would be inspection lot and which was cleared and gone to unrestricted stock.   I am talking about the same inspection lot which was already cleared by doing UD and qty posting.

Once you run the program, it will moves back the stock to quality inspection stock and status become sprq.  But UD remains there.

Even i hv not given any wrong answer as this was an issue which i was faced in my client.

Sorry for the delayed reply, i have resolved this issue by activating the inspection type 08 in the material master and by posting the stock within storage locations by 321 mvt

Hi,

Activate Inspection type 08 in QM view of material master.

then post the quantity from Unrestricted stock to Quality Inspection Stock by movement type 322, inspection lot will be created.

Try program RQEVAC50  through SE38 giving the inspection lot.
