Solman 7.1 SP10 upgrade

Hi Experts,

We have a plan to SP upgrade for solution manager.

Current level in solman system is SP level  7 and we are planning to upgrade SP level 10.

could someone help me what are the prerequisites for SP 10.  Is there any central note or instruction to be follow for this support.

Please help me to implement the patches.

Hi Subba,

As such nothing additional is required.

Make sure, you have the latest backup of your system.

Download latest version of SUM and refer to it's central note for that patch.

After update, you will have to apply correction notes.

Thanks for you reply and suggestions,

we are planning to apply SP10  using SPAM tool.

In solman system EWA, charm , RSLAF ,... are configured. my concern is only will it change the original customized configurations. After update will this configurations remain same?

Or only note corrections is required using soman_setup?

Hi Subba,

I would suggest you to use SUM as SAP has always suggested.

Now, after you perform the SP update, all of your config will remain. However, you will have to repeat some task in SOLMAN_SET, which will be marked saying update required.

Corrections for any SP level can be applied later when you face issue related to that, for now nothing else. You may proceed with your update.
