How to add a reorder level in PD "Deterministic planification and Exact lot"

Hi,

I have created forecast view for a material type for which the procurement type will be to transfer from production plant to the cosumption plant. everything works fine, but PD planification trigger the requirements when inventory is below 0 which is ver risky in our bussines. however PD planificaction is an advantages because we plan to work with forecast and PD allow us to know the requirements in the future, base on forecast consumption. I only need that requirements be tirgger in a level above 0.

Which alternative should I consider for this requirement? other type of planification or PD still?  having into account (consumption forecast, future requirements)

This how actually it looks like

Thanks

Hi Jorge

I think that the best solution would be MRP type PD and a safety stock.

The safety stock is a kind of "stock buffer", which prevents a shortage due to an unplanned requirements.

Hi Caetano,

For my knowledge, safety stock is used as a buffer and it normally increase the reorder level, because safety stock by himselft does not make any effect, so when I fill the reorder level with a safety stock value it says PD can not be used with reorder level.

How could I used safety stock then with PD?

Thanks

Hi Jorge

The safety stock is treated as an additional requirement for your material when using MRP type PD.

Just add a value for the field safety stock on the material master, run MRP for your material and check the results.
