SMQ2 entry and EHPe upgrade

Former Member

Hello all,

I am upplyling EHP3 on CRM system, I have more than  29.883.673 old entry on SMQ2 queue with error,

I am finished by Check Phase  on SUM without any error.

Should I deletete this entry and clean the queue befor continue to Preprocessing Phas?

Or I can continue with the Next Phase.

Deleting of this entry has bad effect on system performance on production.

Thanks

Reza

Hello Reza

If you check the CRM EHP3 guide it only suggests to deregister the inbound queues and doesn't speak about the clean up of the queues.

Again if the tool is not prompting for any queue cleanups then you do not need to do it. (unless explicitly specified in the update guide).

Hello Reagan,

Thanks for reply, where can I deregister the inbound queues? And when is it during downtime?

Thanks

Reza

Hi,

Ideally you should not have anything in SMQ2 stuck and this should be fixed.

I think this should be taken as an opportunity to fix the issue permanently.

It is best to clean queue before EHP to avoid any unknown issue during EHP install or post EHP.

Thanks
