    hi ashwin,

    1. aggregate

    advantage : improve queries performance

disadvantage : increase loading time : data package upload (to aggregate), hierarchy/attribute change run, adjusting time-dependent aggregates.

    2. to add new infoobjects without disturbing old cube, add the new infoobject in new a dimension if it's characteristic, add key figure won't disturb existing cube. but the existing data will have blank/zero value for the new infoobjects added.

    3. from point of user interaction view, once filter is set, user that display/execute the query can't change where condition can be activated or not by the user execute the query.

filter use characteristics, conditions use keyfigures.

all characteristics value set in filter has logical AND, where multiple conditions can be defined independently.
