Cost not picking from Inforecord

Dear All,

As per our costing strategy, cost should be pick up from  inforecord but strange part is that for one of the material the cost is not picking from inforrecord.

The inforrecord is not marked for deletion, this material has only one valid inforecord which is active , this infrecord is not maintained in other plants, we don't maintain outline agreements.

Am I missing anything on this?

Please tell us that from where the price is being picked up. Also I would like to see your valuation strategies.

Hi Rajneesh,

Thanks for response.Our Valuation stratagey is as below.

Planned Price 1

Cost from Purchase inforecord

Standard cost

We did not update the planned price1 and  we have valid inforecord , still at the moment the cost is picking up from current standard cost.  Strange part this is not for all material , for some materials this strategy is working fine as per costing strategy. Even I compared these materials , everything is same.

No clue for me, appreciate your reply.

What is price control for the material? In test ecvironment Try deleting std cost and then run SCE.

Our price control is "S", and I deleted current std cost and re run the SCE , but the situvation is same as before, price is still not picking from inforecord.

Dear Ram

If it is a purchased material then why you are keeping it on price control 'S'. SAP recommends

V for such materials.

Go to MR21 and change there price as Zero for the material and the try to re-run SCE. This all you should do in test environment.

Since beginning we are using the price control as S .

I did as you advised by changing the price ZERO in MR21, Now none of the cost is picking .unable to save the cost cost estimate at all .

Check the validity of Info record.

The validity period is OK, from July 8,2014 to Dec,31,9999.

Hi Rajneesh,

I figured out the route cause for this error.In the Supply option section of inforecord, user maintained "Available to " field with the past date,that should be either the blank or future date.When I changed that then system is pulling the cost from inforecord.

Am surprised that , even for costing purpose system is looking for inforecord supply option section.

Anyway something new learned today with this issue.
