Business Objects Explorer with BW on HANA

Hi All,

We are currently working on migration of our underlying Oracle DB for BW to HANA.

So new setup for will be BW on HANA.

We are having three landscapes DEV, QA and PROD

We have already migrated our DEV landscape to BW on HANA.

* Above is the background story *

Now the problem we are facing is currently we have BWA in PROD and we are using SAP BOBJ Explorer (accelerated version).
I am able to run T-Code RSDDTPS to create "query snapshot" which will be consumed in Explorer (They always start with a “YZ_”)

Now when user try to run same T-code in DEV system we get below error message.

We are stuck at this point and not able to decide on our approach how to use Explorer with "BW on HANA".

Any recommendations here ?

Hi .

RSDDTPS transaction is limited to BWA and HANA inmemory capabilities can be exposed to BI Explorer via Analytic or calculation Views only.

I believe you cannot use BWA indexes anymore and need analytic/Calculation views to expose HANA to Explorer

So my suggestion will be to start creating the Models in HANA to expose them to explorer

I believe the reason for the lack of response is because you logged the scn post under the Explorer section.  This is really a HANA question/issue and has to do less with Explorer and more to do with permission/configurations on the HANA side.  I'd recommend you move this post over to the BW or HANA areas of the SCN.  Even the error message in the screenshot looks like a sapgui error box.

Hey Henry,

How are you doing ?

Well it's bit urgent actually.

I tired checking few options but no success.

If at all you can help me to understand about anyway we can replace "RSDDTPS" will be helpful.
