Hello Experts,
I would like to know the process that,if it is found material is defective while the production is going on and then decision is taken to stop the production then how the process can be mapped in SAP ?
I think the 03 inspection process will take care of this but still can anybody give me exact steps to map this scenario..?
Any help will be highly appreciated by reward points..
Thanks
Anand
Dear Mr.Anand Joshi,
In one way You can confirm the order partially.
or
in other way You need to Reverse the Raw material back to ware house ( To Scrap Storage location - to do needful on defective RM) by using MB1A - 262 Movement type with reference to your Order.
Get fresh Raw material qty issued against your order to fulfill requirement through- ' MB1A - 261 Movement type.
Also pls try to refer the below Link which will gives you more idea on this issue.

Hi,
If you find the raw material is defective then if you are going to stop the production of that order then follow as mentioned below...
If already components ( raw materials) are issued by 261 movement against the order then return the good raw materials to stores or warehouse by doing 262 movement to warehouse storage location and defective material to scrap location..now close the production order by confirming the operations which are already performed (if any) and then TECO the order..
Hope this helps...
Thanks
Kumar

Hi Anand,
then you can send back the Materials To the Inventory nad re issue Currect Materials, In MB1A by using 262 Movement type you can send back the raw materials.
