ODS ACTIVATION FAILED FOR FLAT FILE

Hi Everyone,

I created a ods object from flat file, and while activating it gives problem.

These are the error messages:

The creation of the export DataSource failed

Message no. RSBM035

Diagnosis

The creation of the OLTP source &v1& was unsuccessful.

System response

Whilst generating the Export InfoSource, the Metadata for an R/3 OLTP source must be generated. An error arose when doing this.

Procedure

Consult the appropriate developer (function module: RSB1_OLTPSOURCE_GENERATE).

What can be done, can anyone suggest me please.

Thanks,

Prashant.

    Hello Prashant;

    could you be more specific..what is your scenario? If you are just creating ODS to upload the data from flat file ..why are you getting an error with export data source? I hope you have an clear understanding of export data source..Are you getting data from some other ODS or Cube for you new ODS? Please check your Infosource name and make sure if you are not uploading data from other Infoprovider's the name of the Infosource shouldn't starts with '8ODSname'.

    thank you.
