i have requirement, chossing which one is best out of the both?

customer hierarchies VS partner function,,,,,,,,,,

based on the data maintence, pricing, reporting and set-up for

an ultimate customer.....

suggestions are required ,plz

Hi Sampath,

Given a Choice I would go with Customer Hierarchies as it has lot of flexibility than the partner functions.

Also we have lot of standard reports for the Customer Hierarchies than the partner functions.

This depends a lot on what you are trying to accomplish, but here are some thoughts. Hierarchies are very useful for pricing and QA data since you usually will charge a customer the same price for a material regardless of which location it goes to. QA data is also the same for mutliple locations but the flexibility is there if you need customer specific specifications or prices. The effort to maintain all of the master is greatly reduced by using hierarchies.
