System copy using SCC9

Hello Experts,

I want to do a system copy using SCC9 and I want to know copy transactional data only, can you please tell me which profile should i choose? (SAP_ALL, SAP_CUST or SAP_APPL)

If I use the profile SAP_APPL will it delete my custom Z programs?

Thanks.

    Hi Romain,

R/3 Repository objects, such as ABAP programs, are not transported with the client copier. You can use SAP_APPL.

    Kind regards,

    Martin

    Hi Romain.

You can search in Google about Client copy (Not a system copy). Kindly refer the link about client copy methods and steps

    Hello Sriram,

My question is which profile should i choose when using SCC9 so that my Z custom programs are not deleted.

My aim is to transfer only the database data(transactional) from my production server into my integration server without impacting my Z programs present in my integration server.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Do one thing if want go through

scc9-Remote client copy choose SAP_CUST profile for it will come only customized programs.

your Requirement based on (only database copy) choose system copy using SWPM-tool expand your system and export/import.

    Hi Romain,

I added a secondary tag to your question, as this is specific to ABAP systems. Also, I think Martin Winn has given you the answer you seek. Pretty much any of the three client copy profiles you mention should be ok, as they only select client-specific data, and all ABAP programs, including Z programs, are client-independent.

    Cheers,
    Matt
