variable

Hi All

I have a Multi Planning Area containing two standard planning areas: basic cube for actual data and transactional cube for planned data. My layouts are created under the standard planning area, and I have created a copy function in the Multi Planning Area to copy the actuals to the planned. The user gets to enter a version upon entering the layout, either 10,20, or 30. Do I need to create 2 variables for Version? One in the multi planning area and one in the standard planning area to copy from actuals to planned?

Thanks very much

    Hello Jane,

yes, you will need two variables. You can link them together using an exit variable for one of them. Check the How" target="_blank">http://service.sap.com/nw-howtoguides">How To… Use Reporting Variables in BW-BPS. It contains a nice solution for this.
