How to grayout/highlight the changes during MSDS generation

Hi Gurus,

We have requirement to highlight the changes based on the user input in MSDS.   We have developed a program which take the user input and update in "Z" table.

Developed a  function module which will fetch the data from Z table which will be used for highlighting the specific data and working as expected.

We have new requirement like  : - need to highlight changes as below

"  grey color and double lines on the left margin should be used "

Could you please advice.

Best Regards,

Ajay Thorat

Dear Ajay

as well I am surprised to read your topic (same as explained by Francois). Nobody using EHS (which I know) does use a "company specifc development" to mark changes in WWI report.

like you are using; and especially not in context of MSDS/SDS generation Anybody uses standard option. In the standard option by "adapting" WWI.INI you can change the way how the"change" is marked.

The "change" mark is related to WWI standard options; therefore considerung now your "Z" approach I have no idea if you can really adapt the WWI.Ini in such a way that the requirened "highlighting" is possible

PS: be aware of the fact that SAP has "optimized" the marking in the last years; if you use current EHS system you should have really a system in place which should satisfy your needs in regards of change management

Hi Ajay,

I'm afraid that does not answer directly your question ...

not sure if you're aware that CG2B has a standard functionality to highlight changes in SDS variants.

In "Control Report Management",  "Change Mark" set to '1'.

Changes are then struck-through and new value printed in red color ... which I agree is not your requirement, but maybe someone knows where to change that behaviour (color, font, ...)

Enjoy the day,
