How to parse a characteristic figure which is coming from a query?

Hi Friends,

If I have a characteristic which is coming from the query which consists of a value appended with some text and I want to see the value and the text separately at two different places in my WAD, what are the options available?

One option is using ABAP, but it would be great if you can throw more light on it.

Is there any way to do this at query level?
