Is Ranking function in possible Universe ?

Hi Guys,

I am facing below warning in BEx query when I made few changes in my query. This is due to features like ranking, zero suppressing, scaling factor etc which are not supported in WebI /dashboards. 

So is there any option or alternate way to incorporate this in Universe and then feed dashboard ? Please guide me on this.

Any inputs will be really appreciated.

In webi Ranking Possible Based on Key figure using Rank Function.

If possible can you elaborate what exactly that selction kfg contains based on that we can use different options that are available in BO.

Hi Seshu,

We have key figures ie local formulas like Gross Margin% where we are calculating and displying result in Olympic Rank format.

For example, If C and B have same quantities, it will skip Rank 3.

A 100 = Rank 1

B 50  =  Rank 2

C 50  =  Rank 2

D 20  =  Rank 4

And my bex query is feeding dashboard, not WEBI. I am sure we dont have such fuction in dashboard. So is there any way to bring universe in between and carry out all these calculations in universe?

Hello,

What connectivity option you are using to connect your BEx query to dashboard? For ranking alone you don't have to introduce one more layer of universe in between. Please explain your connectivity method details.

Also can do the logic in excel and use in dashboards.
