SMP 3.0 Hybrid Application

Dear all , Can i make Hybrid application in SMP 3.0 with  non SAP backend like (MS SQL , Oracle etc). if yes ... Can you please provide  me all steps for it ? also some documents link as well. Thanks & Regards,   Kunal Varaiya

Which eclipse version are you working with ? For GWPA JAVA EE is recommended .

Can you check if its working in a similar environment on a different system .

If so, you can try importing the eclipse GWPA plugins Offline with out referring from the SAP Development Tools for Eclipse - Juno Software Repository .

Glad to hear your problem has been resolved. But still can't understand why it didnt work with Junos since SAP recommends "Junos" for adding IG plugin to the eclipse for OData modeling .

Hi Kunal,

SMP 3.0 is based on OData protocol. So there is no direct way to consuming non-sap backend, first you have to convert backend services into OData services using Integration gateway which is a plug-in to the eclipse.

There is a way to develop hybrid app i.e. Kapsel app development, you should check this document for additional information

Hello Jitendra , Thanks 4 your replay ... But may i know which exact plu-in i need to use for it  in eclipse . Because I downlowed complete SMP 3.0 SDK i have it all. This plug-in is nothing to do with mobile SDK. This mobile SDK provides required libraries and classes to develop various apps like Kapsel based, Odata native, Agentry and so on.

Hello Jitendra , Ya its really helping me . But i am trying to add plug-in but its throwing me below error: Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.   Software being installed: Toolkit for Integration Gateway (GWPA, Developer Edition) 1.1.1 (com.sap.odata.dt.framework.sap.smp.feature.feature.group 1.1.1) Can you please help me resolve it ? Make sure you are adding this plug-in to the Eclipse Junos only.

Hello jitendra , I have attached screen shot . ya i am eclipse juno , and alos i have done plug -in for Agentry , ABAP , UI5 but Netwere Gateway  only throwing error . But and i also i  tried with fresh eclipse means with out any plugin and try with GWPA but smae error . So, Could not understand how can i  solve ? Thanks & Regards,   Kunal Varaiya

Have you set any proxy settings in browser?

If yes, you should configure the same in eclipse also.

• Windows>Preference
• Search with "Network"
• select "Manual" from Active provider dropdown, set details in HTTP and HTTPS (if required).
