BO 4.1 - Client/server version mismatch

Hello Experts ,

My BOE Server is 4.1 and the patch level is SP3,
however the client tools are yet to be updated and they are on SP2.

I would like to know the following :

1. Technique there any sap note recommending the installation of the same version of the service pack for server and client?
2. Problems exist detected by the incompatibility of (client / server) service pack?

3. Which would be the technical recommendation?

• It is required that all components in a SAP BusinessObjects system be at the same maintenance level. For example, SAP BusinessObjects server, client, and web components must be at the same maintenance level. If you update one component of your SAP BusinessObjects system, you must also update the other components. If you uninstall a update for one component in your system, you must uninstall the same update for the other components.

Also note:

• Although it is possible to run mixed versions of server / client tools, it is not a recommended configuration. This will come with a risk that you may find differences in performance, functionality or display results (between these two different versions) and potentially integrity of the environment.  To troubleshoot and resolve these kinds of problems in your environment, SAP support will require the BI suite (this includes the client tools) to be on the same version.  In addition, SAP does not regression test any mixture of client server versions.
