All objects are inactive in derived roles (copied from existing derived role)

I need to create more than 1000 derived roles, from existing reference roles.

Reference roles are also derived roles. So I executed LSMW for mass copy.

Eg: Reference role XYZ with parent role XXX

New role(ABC) copied from XYZ ,so ABC is having same values as XYZ and master role also.

Now the issue is after executing the LSMW all roles are copied to new roles, but all objects are inactive in new roles .I am not able to activate the object also.

hi All,

This issue was due to the old support package level.

Solution:Implement SAP note: 746963 and two dependent notes(1614407, 1726849)

Thanks,

Anusha

Hi Anusha

Not really sure what you mean by 'inactive'

If you ran an LSMW to copy a dervied role are you able to go to the parent role and do a mass derive?

Hi Colleen,

Issue: I have derived roles for plant XX, now I want to derive same set of roles for YY plant. My reference plant is XX, So what am doing is copying the XX roles to New roles (YY) .No change in object or description, just copy role to new role. And I am using LSMW for the same.

After copy the roles, I will change the description and profile using another script and manually change the org values. But after copy the roles to new roles using script all objects are inactive (In red color),if am selecting the org tab ,I will get message like ,no org levels maintained. Because all objects are inactive .And there are no options (edit) to activate the objects or maintain the fields.

Thanks,

Anusha

Hi Anusha

Can you please show a screen shot of your PFCG copied role (the one you created via LSMW) of the description tab and authorisation tab?

If you at least copied it and have a reference of the parent role then going into parent role and performing a push down to the derived would resolve it

However, how are you intending to update org values?

Hi Anusha,

1. Please check objects in parent role. Whether its active or inactive. as per your explanation i think it should be inactive.

2. Please let us know what is the error message your getting when your trying to activate

Hi Kiran ,

I am copying roles one by one, and all objects are active and working .But if am doing via LSMW Getting error like “No org fields to maintain” because in role all objects are inactive. There is no option to edit the object or field values in roles.

Hi Anusha,

probably you have got with the copy any values ( not space ) in the fields DELETED in the tables AGR_1250 or AGR_1251. Could you please check this with SE16.

Hi Anusha,

In this case i think the problem in LSMW Script during the Tcode record.

Please  run the Script in foreground for 2 roles and check how the LSMW  script is copying the roles and what are the step's its doing.

So that you will come to know if any problem in the script during foreground execution
