Backend and Front end pre requisites for Fiori app

Dear All,

We are planning to implement Sales Order apps (transactional ) in our ERP6 EHP6 with basis 7.31 SP02 in a HUB system gateway SP08 . But looking at the Installation - SAP Fiori for SAP Business Suite - SAP Library guide it is noticed that the pre requisite is much higher .

Is it mandatory to upgrade the system ?

Any alternative suggestions are appreciated?
