SAP BIBO4.0:- Access level Issue- Design Mode rights for user

SAP BIBO 4.0:- I have created one access level in which I have provided rights to edit the report.

Reporting - enable formatting

General - edit objects

Now User is able to modify the report, But He is unable to enter Design Mode("Design" coming as grey,screenshot added).

Am I missing any right which needs to be assigned to access level.

Have you assigned the acces levels also to the launchpad folder & universefolder & connectionfolder ?

I created an access level, with granted rights to those two and combined it with the BO default View - access level, and it works for me.

Tried combining with BO default view access, But same able to right click and "modify" report, "Design" is still coming grey.

Hi Atul,

it might be that, the user is not explicitly getting the rights assigned.

there has to be some inheritance, which might be messing up the user.

Can you add the user to administrator group and try to do the same? if it works, this means, the rights that you have assigned are not enough.

to check explicitly, do the following:

Create a user.

grant rights for Folders, universes and connections. ( view on demand access level or your custom access level ) no heirarchy check marks.

login with the user and check .

let us know what all rights your custom ACL have in place

A) I tried for new test user as well
- created test user

- assigned "view on demand" access level for user  for desired folder

- assigned "view on demand" access level for user  for universe

- assigned "view on demand" access level for user  for connection

All the rights I have assigned with no hierarchy check marks.

But for this test user with BO default "view on demand" access level "design" is coming as grey.

Moreover for this "View on demand" access level I dont think edit rights are included coz test user is  not even able to right click and modify the report.

B) Below are rights custom access level having:

and I strogly believe that some right is missing. But question is which right?

You just gave only those 2 rights to the user?

I have provided the rights mentioned by you above, But still "Design" is coming grey for user.
