Production Orders Not Confirming Evenly

Former Member

Dear experts,

I work in apparel company which produces its finished good in the form of a pair. Therefore production orders are created as pairs for each operation.

operation 1 - (prod order A-Left, B-Right)

operation 2 - (prod order B-Left, B-Right)

operation 3 - (prod order C) to create finished good as a pair

When scanned for operation 1, it creates SFG stock. When scanned for operation 2, it backflushes stock from previous operation and create B-Left, B-Right stock).

Production orders are scanned by created barcodes, scanning program couples it's left-right components and confirm in the CO11N screen.

My problem is, for some Sales Order/Line items, production order scanning is not happening correctly, sometimes only one production order out of two for a particular operation is scanned. Creating only left or right stock instead of both. So in next operation, confirmation is not allowed as the stock is not sufficient.

Ex: Operation 01 is scanned (A1, A2 barcodes)

But only A1 barcode is scanned.

When tried to confirm production orders for Operation 02, only A1 stock is available. This will not allow to scan the barcode with an "error in goods movement" error.

Please advise how is this happening and how to avoid this.

-Sam
