Connecting SAP BW 7.31 ( OS: HP-UX DB:ORACLE ) with SQL Server

Hi Experts,

I am trying to connect SAP BW 7.31 with Host Os HP-UX and SQL Server 2008. Can any one provide any knowledge on whether is it possible or not?

If possible please provide me the details of how we can connect.

When i tried to connect using DB connect I am getting error

We are getting error: -- ERROR ADBC database error (16) occurred

If you have a J2EE stack then you can make use of UDConnect (JDBC) to connect to the external MSSQL database.

I want to know , how i can check that the BW system have Java stack ?

Is there any tcode or process to check the availability of Java stack ??

Is there any SAP note on this ? which confirms the connection between SAP BW 7.31 (HP-UX , Oracle DB) with SQL Server is not possible?

I suggest you to check with the BASIS team to understand the setup of the BI landscape and to know whether there is a J2EE involved.
