How to configure SSO in SAP Portal to access C4C ?

We wants to configure their Netweaver Portal with SSO, and click a link to C4C without having to re-login.

The version is  EP Portal 7.0  SP 14.

The Portal SME created and configured both a URL iView and an appintegrator.sap.Generic iView with no success so far  to pass in  the login and pwd
parameters to facilitate SSO.

Both of them render the  CRM Cloud login screen as below.  (it comes up with login / password screen)

Please advise with examples how to extract the login Id and PWD  for the current user from within the portal itself  and pass it to either of these 2
iViews.

Is this the  correct approach to jump out to CRM Cloud from within an EP portal ?

Thanks !

Tim.

Hi Tim

I think they would need to configure SAML for this.

SAML is the protocol (like HTML) to communicate.

I would like to get more details / steps for EP to make the EP call out to C4C.

Hello Liu,

see    of Cristinano Rosa.

Works like a charm for us. We had  1 hour help from SAP for the setup already some time ago.

Attention:

SAP just 24.7.2016) has patched their C4C QA system which led to this Error:

Internal error during SAML2 processing

CX_SAML20_CORE: No endpoint with binding is defined for profile SSO

Solution:

1.)    go to  Beta Admin –> Security --> Configure Single Sign-On

2.)   set your own IdP to be default again.
