Table FEH_MESS_PERS and column (PAYLOAD) growing

Hi ALL,

Oracle version 11.2.0.3

BRTOOLS 7.20 (30)

SAP version 7.2

The below LOB segment which is more occupied space in CRM
system and I checked with any compression option but my bad as per As per SAP note 1431296 SAP
recommendation not to compress the following table in oracle and if these tables have securefile LOBs, we
should also not compress them.

The below object which is securefile LOB so we don’t have
any option for compression.

Is there any option available for archiving or deletion the old data’s? Can we make use of them?

Is it any impacting business data?

Hi Dhavan,

You need to first clear old records either by means of archiving or deletion process supported by SAP.

Post this you may Reorg the table which will inturn shrink the LOB segment as well.

For Archiving you may use archiving object: /SAPPPO/PPO

There is a report /SAPPO/DELETE_ORDERS which deletes the orders including the two payload tables FEHT_MESS_PERS and FEHT_MESS_REF. The payload of PPO orders that were previously deleted must be removed from the system individually.

Thanks for your swift response,

I checked the /SAPPO/DELETE_ORDERS report but I don't see table name FEHT_MESS_PERS.

Payload is column ,it is securefile LOB segments and size is growing continuously.

if you have any sap note please share it.

Maybe this is because the here under note is not applied on your system.

Can you please confirm the size of the Secufrefile, is it 445 Gb (SCN automatic formatting option has added a "1." to the number)

Using SecureFile compression is not forbidden on SAP system, you could activate a low compression on that segment.

This note not applicable for my SAP version. Please find the screenshot below,

During securefile LOB creation we can do them after that as per the SAP note 1431296 we should also not compress them.
