Approval status of XML

Hello,

Can anyone help me with the following problem:

I have enabled an approval process for XML news.

I changed the layout and added StateManagementGroup to the Resource Renderer. This allows me to subject an XML form for approval.

In the XML form I have added the Workflow status.

The problem is that the status doesn't change after a xml news item is submitted for approval or released. How can I change this?
