Backup failing post SBP

Hi Experts,

In our MDG system, we tried to do Oracle Bundle patch upgrade but we were facing issues so we reverted to original (replaced folder 112_64)

and the system was up and is running properly. But post this the issue is that when we hit stopsap on OS level , the DB doesn't shutdown , only the application stops. We have to separately shut down the database in sqlplus . Similarly for starting up the system.

Also due to this issue the backup script is failing as the DB is unable to shutdown.

Pls help.

BR,

Madhura

    Dear Madhura,

Did you download the latest stopsap/startsap scripts?

Also make sure the SQLNET configuration points to the correct Oracle home as well as all env. variable.

    János

    Hi,

Looks like your Soft Links are disturbed.

Check SAP Kernel Directory for backint and other brtool related files if all soft links are correctly setup and have correct permissions.

Also check Oracle Directory 112_64 if created soft links still exist after Upgrade revert.

    Regards,

    Shivam
