Multi-resource scheduling heuristic (SAP_MULT_SCH)

Hi ,

New multi-resource scheduling heuristic (SAP_MULT_SCH) Based on APO 7.0 EH2 , I need to Know :-

If this heuristics can be used in background or online planning /SAPAPO/CDPSB0 ? or it's interactive heuristic planning ?

Is this heuristic limited to process industry only, or can be used in Discrete industry ?

Hi Rami,

Heuristics can be used in background or interactively both. I tried it by using master recipe and transfering as PDS to APO  so not sure whether it can be used for discrete but I think it can be as APO point of view PDS is mastert data which can be transfered from routing or recipe

Could you Please confirm that Heuristic SAP_MULT_SCH can be used by /SAPAPO/CDPSB0

and please let me know what's the steps should i have if i want to use this Heuristic ??

And kindly i need to have :

• system documentation for the heuristics. To call up the system documentation for a heuristic, in Customizing for Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS), under Maintain Heuristics, select Information for the heuristic.

Hi Rami,

Yes, you can as well use /sapapo/cdpsb0 to run the multi resource scheduling heuristic.

At first you need to have the customising settings done in your heuristic which you want to run and then include it in the first step in Production planning run to get the heuristic executed.
