Replace notification rule GRAC_NOTIF_VAR_RULE_AR with ZGRAC_NOTIF_VAR_RULE_AR

Dear Friends,

I have the requirement to define new notification variable, so I can use accounting number as input field, so I can add this in notification template to be send to admin team.

I want to change standard notification rule GRAC_NOTIF_VAR_RULE_AR with custom Z notification rule ZGRAC_NOTIF_VAR_RULE_AR for process

SAP_GRAC_ACCESS_REQUEST

Can I do that? if yes, how? is there any impact of this? is this solution viable?

Hi Mangesh,

AFAIK, we cannot create custom notification variable .Even though you create custom notif. variable,how do you map it to the data variable?.

What is your requirement exactly. What you want to add to custom email notif. variable?

Thanks for your time.

We need to supply solman incident number while creation of GRC access request which we can forward to solman team once request in GRC is closed/provisioned through email.

Hi Mangesh,

For that you need to enhance the class CL_GRFN_MSMP_NOTIFICATIONS. I had a requirement to add title to email notifications and following is the procedure i followed.

Adding title (i.e Mr./Ms.) to the user full name in email content in GRC access request

Hope it will give you some idea.

Thanks for it, but I have checked with the developer and all variables are actually coded with condition when in notification rule.

I will ask developer to check your solution.

Also could you please tell me how can I lable the link in mail just as you have in the thread which you asked me to check.

Hi Mangesh,

No need to link that class to the email notifications because using this class emails will get trigerred.No external linkage needed.
