Hi Gurus,

I have completef my SAP CRM training and successfully complete SAP CRM certification. I have worked as a SAP CRM analyst and Master data Analyst within SAP. Now, I am having a very hard time securing a SAP CRM position as SAP CRM is not getting a very good response at this time. I am thinking of either studying SAP SD, SAP ABAP, SAP BW/BI or SAP BO. Please provide your feedback on what is the better combination of module with SAP CRM. I have been told that SAP ABAP and SAP CRM is a good combo but I do not have a knowledge or worked as a programmer. A lot of positions are looking for people who have a solid knowledge of integrating various systems with SAP. Please advise on this case.

Your advise must be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Ajmal Siddiqui

Hi Ajmal,

Since you have already been trained in SAP CRM, it is always better to have knowledge and learning experience SD. To be a CRM consultant, it is expected to have technical knowledge to leverage the skills better.

The other option is to get in to SD and then learn the integration of it with MM, PP, FI - By that way you can position yourself better.

Please let me know if you have specific query.

Hi Raj,

Thank you for your reply. I definitely agree with you on learning SD. However, since SAP CRM is a techno-functional module, what module would be best for me to understand its technical side? Please advise.

Thank you,

Hi Ajmal,

If you intend to cover both CRM and ECC a relevant area is Sales.  The customizing has a lot of parallel aspects and as well the CRM-BTX interface is relevant which includes as well CRM middleware.

Another advise I could give would be to get involved in SAP HANA Cloud solutions which is the solution of the future and as well for a start the FIORI mobile solutions which are a good starting point to built up your knowledge.

If you are not subscribed to the SAP Flash newsletter please do. It is good information to be up to date regarding the technical and solution  news.

Best regards - Christophe

Hi Ajmal,

The most relevant module in CRM against SD is CRM-Sales.

Hello Ram,

I will strongly suggest SD training by Gurjeet Singh. He covers all topics of SD and he is very passionate about teaching SAP. He is very helpful with any questions related to your course and most importantly, he is very up to date in replying back to any questions that you may have during and after course. Definitely worth the money.

I wish you all the best with your journey in SAP SD.

Good luck,

Regards,

@Hamad – You can cheat on Gurjeet Singh for money , you can cheat by downloading his videos or you can cheat any one with your best possible trick but remember Karma has everybody’s address and will chase you very soon. Ultimately, you will get nothing out of it and will be at some sort of loss at the end of the day.

I am glad that Ajmal didn’t respond you and we still have plenty honest people around the world!
