A proble with CTI(Computer Telephony Integration)

Hi guys:

I meet a new problem, hope someone can help me .Here is my problem:

1.First let's see the definition:

Here is the content:Inbound calls are achieved using a parameterized URL that your client-side application passes to the SAP Cloud for Customer CTI Client Adapter. This allows the call attached data to display in the Live Activity pane in the solution.

2.Second,The document give us an example:

according to my system,i changed this url to : http://localhost:36729/?CID=BCM1234&BP=1000878

3.last.I open the CTI adapter, and input the url.here is the result:

my question is: why there is no data showing in the Live Activity pane in the solution. Is something wrong with my steps?

Best Regards

chaowei.

We have had the same issue on a client site recently (CTI simulate works on QA but not production).

We looked the the software and noted that the solution is looking for 'localhost' (rather than the IP address 127.0.0.1)

Some vbersions of Winodws the file C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts

    The line

    # 127.0.0.1 localhost

is commented out - (you should remove the # and the space from the beginning of the line)

clear the DNS cache on your PC, restart the CTI component and run the C4C client in ie.

Now try the CTI simulate - It should show any number(s) that you simulate in the live activity panel

If this all works - raise a ticket on your C4C system and ask SAP to change the url from localhost to 127.0.0.1

Once SAP confirm the change you can recomment the line you changed in the hosts file, clear the DNS cache and restart both the CTI & the C4C and the activity panel will now work for any PC running the CTI component.

This applies whether you are using simulate or a real CTI provider.

      Hi Walayat:

What they are talking about is the CTI Adapter and how to enable outbound calling. I already have this adapter and my problem is how to enable the inbound calling! anyway, thank you for your kindness.

    HI,

If you just want to simulate an inbound call, you can use the implanted feature of the CTI client adapter.

    Hi everyone,

we have some problems with incoming calls, too.

Our Problem is we have one working testsystem:

And one testsystem, where the CTI-Adapter doesn´t work:

The CTI Client Adapter is installed on the some desktop PC, is that a problem?

Both system has the same configurations - excluding some specific fields in live-activity-pane...

We don´t know how the cti client adapter works exactly.

We don´t use HTTPS - mixed content is activated, too.

    Best Regards,

    Max
