scenario definition configuration required or Not required ?

Hi ,

I am trying to configure "Approve Leave Requests" Fiori App (X1).

It does not say anything about scenario definition, and related customizations.

Previous version this settings were required, I am not sure it is required now OR not required.

Please provide me any other better document or link exist for this requirement.
