unable to acess bex

Hi all,

i am in a sem 4/bw 3.5 system.i am unable to open bex.when i go to rrmx transaction and try to open bex it says "CONNECT TO SAP GATEWAY FAILED".i am using sap gui 6.2 version.should there be any upgrade in the front end version or is there anything else i need to do.this is very urgent.point awaiting for first answer.

pls let me know the possible solutions.

sounds like your saplogon is not set up properly. Are you connecting to the right server?

Can you connect to BW from there?

yes i can.just bex is the problem.

strange, have you tried connecting directly via the Bex shortcut in the SAP Frontend folder in the menu instead of using rrmx?

There was another post with this issue too, maybe that can help you a bit

even that way of accessing gives the same error message.

I think this is due to the authorization for your id in the system.

Instead of launching BEx from RRMX, Try to launch the bex from business explorer from Program Files...If this works for you then the problem is associated with your Autorization...

in your Gui folder there's a file to test if you have all the plugins,... installed at the right level. Run that one and see if all is ok. Think you must be missing something in the installation.
