DSO Activation Issue

I am having a DSO activation issue.

The DSO Transformation does not have any code that exclude records in start / end routine.   There is no filter in DTP.   It is a first time load, so there is no data.  When I loaded the data to the DSO, it shows number of records in new data table.   So when I activate the DSO, there is no data in DSO or Active Data table.  Also, there is no error on activation logs.

Any idea on what is causing it or how to fix it?

Does the record mode (0RECORDMODE) affect the DSO activation?

Hi Glenn,

Please check if the recordmode of data records are manipulated in transformation and changed to either "D" or "R".

If the record modes are chagned to"R" or "D" ,post activation there will be no or zero records in active table.

There is no errors on activation but I think I narrow down to this issue, and it had to do with 0RECORDMODE in BW.   If the 0RECORDMODE is D, it will delete the records from the new table and it will not be added to the active table.   I am trying to understand how the 0RECORDMODE work while in the DSO activation.

As you mentioned this is the first time load then recordmode shouldn't be D

Did you see the recordmode value? can you please share screenshot.

I know the datasource is delta extractor.

I did ran the full load, and it shows D on UPMOD (update mode).

I decide to reset delta and ran the full load, it shows the same thing, D.

I did research on the forum and if the recordmode = D, it will delete the keys.

Hi,

Are you sure about checking right DSO?

As you stated as first load then all record record mode will be New- N.

So no issues with 0recordmode.

At DSO-->right click-->manage-->request tab,delete the exist request and reload from source/PSA,activate and check it.

Before deleting , can your DSO->manage-->request tab, have any request with reporting symbol?

Hi Glenn,

In manage tab could you the activated request? Data available for reporting icon is there?

If data was visible in new table before activation then it should come to active table after activation.

Is it the number of entries you are cheking after actiavtion which says 0 entry or execution of table.

Could u pls provide some screenshot where u see the concern!

HI,

i think partially activated your DSO wait until turn to green color status

some while activating the DSO it won't show the data still data in active data table.

some no batch process not available please check the batch process.

increase the parallel process of DSO activation -> select the DSO -> manage -> activate -> select parallel activation -> give the no of process.

if have error logs please send to us screen shot
