Regarding SCM 4.1 upgrade

Dear SAP gurus,

We have a requirement to upgrade our SAP SCM 4.1 server to SCM 7.0.

As we created maintenance transction in solman ,and it is showing only (upgrade with enhancement package installation) SCM 7.0 enhancement packs(1,2,3)...not SCM 7.0.

We could not able to generate upgrade XML file for SCM 7.0..

Currently we are on non unicode system with oracle 10g database,and we dont want to go to enhancement packs because EHP'S need oracle 11g.

Please guide us how to proceed the SCM 4.1 upgrade.

Hi,

If you are not able to use solution manager for the xml file, you can use SMP. You can download the required components and the stack from the service market place (SMP) at:

https://service.sap.com/swdc

Please navigate to:

Support Packages and Patches -> Browse our Download Catalog -> SAP Application Components ->
SAP SCM -> SAP SCM 7.0 ->Link to SP Stack Application

Please enter
Source SP stack as: SAP SCM 7.0 -ISS Initial shipment
Target SP stack as: SAP SCM 7.0

From there,
Step 1: please select "Next Step"
Step 2:  select "SAP EHP1 FOR SAP NETWEAVER 7.0 - Application  Server Java "  and then select "Next Step"
Step 3:  select the kernel for your system  and then select "Next Step"
Step 4: You have all the components from the stack. Please select the ones you need and deselect the ones not needed.

At the end of the page, you have a tab called "Generate Stack xml". Please click that to generate the stack xml file based on your selection.
