Unique ID in UME with Active Directory

Hello,

i would use an Microsoft Active Directory as Userstore for the SAP Enterprise Portal (NW04, SP14).

In the Active Directory we have the samaccountname as Loginname. But this Loginname can be changed when the user changed his name (she married).

so, when i use the samaccountname as unique attribut for the username i lost the user-role assignment when i change the cn.

For this reason i would use the objectSID as Unique ID for the User in the UME. I do this:

- I go into the "Config Tool" on the Server to the UME part

- mark the checkbox "Use UME unique ID with UNIQUE LDAP attribute" and enter objectSID.

But when i now take a look in the role assignment there i see that the unique ID was: USER.CORP_LDAP.0815hoe001, where 0815hoe001 was the samaccountname !

I read the regarding notes, but there was a hint that with versions greater than sp12 i dont need to do anything. i look in the manual, but i think it is out of date. The exactly function of the checkbox "Use UME with..." was not in the manual.

How can i reach my goal "use objectSID as unique UME username"?

Best regards,

Patrick
