Creating Infopackage picks Infosource

Hi All,

While creating InfoPackage on Datasource : 2LIS_11_VAITM, it is already applying the InfoSource.

There are two flows created on the Datasource. One was 3.x flow and one is 7.x flow. Both Flows use Infosource and then move the data to DSO.

Data only comes from 7.X flow. the other Flow i.e 3.X flow is not providing any data and is only active.

I created one more flow since I don't require any InfoSource in between, I used Datasource ---- DSO flow.

Now while creating InfoPackage on Datasource it is picking Infosource which is used for 3.X flow.

I want to know is there any way we can create normal InfoPackage [i.e It should not use any InfoSource(3.X and 7.X) ].

Hi,

Have you migrated your data source to 7.x?

if not and if possible then you can migrate your data source to 7.x and later you can create info package. To migrate you can use T code - RSDS, menu data source-->convert 3.x to 7.x.

Or by using present info package you can load to PSA only. At update targets select only PSA.

Create a dtp and pulls data from PSA to- DSO.

Hi Raman,

It is already migrated to 7.x and as I said the 7.X flow is only working in Production. The 3.X flow is not working but is active in Production.

Infopackage settings are till PSA only but the main problem is when creating New Infopackage it is taking Infosource automatically as given in main attachment, so when loading the data it is getting failed.

Although the fields mentioned in this error has value only in Decimal but it is adding an extra character.

For Ex : Field BRGEW has value in RSA3 as "0.077" and while loading to PSA it is failing with error and showing values as "0.077 S".

Hi,

Seems there might be something issue with your data .

Can you take one record and recheck at source table ,BRGEW = 0.077.

For field BRGEW at bw side which info object you used/mapped?

is standard or custom one?

Seems like some conversion or units kind issue.

Hi,

I am bit confused but if your 7.x flow is working then data is available in PSA right.

So the new flow what you are willing to create would require just a DSO, and since data is available in PSA you can extract it from DTP.

About InfoSource issue, did you try replicating the DS. Please do it once and see if anything changes.

Hi Raman,

I have checked the data in BRGEW at R/3 side and it's value is 0.077.

Field mapped with BW is standard Field 0GROSS_WGT.

But even if the field is not standard the data should come correct because mapping issue comes when we load data from PSA to DSO. In this case it is failing at Infopackage level, not even coming to PSA.

Hi Gaurav,

I deleted the data in Development Environment and fill the setup table as there were other LIS11 datasources which were not being used. After filling setup table checked in RSA3 and then loaded Init with Datatransfer but it got failed whereas other LIS11 datasources got successful.

Also tried to replicate DS and load but still it gives same error.

Yes mapped all of them with Units/Currencies. But still not able to identify why it is giving error.

Also to original question is there any way we can create IP without having any Infosource coming to it because it feels like that Infosource with Infopackage is causing the issue. Any thoughts would be helpful.

Hi,

From your screen shot i can see that as your creating info pack under info source.

But you need to create info pack under data source.

Go to RSA1-->data sources,

find your data source-->right click-->create info pack.

I am creating Infopackage under Datasource only. it is by default picking InfoSource. Not sure why this is happening and that two of 3.x flow infosource, whereas it should not pick anything while creating Infopackage on datasource.

Can you share your data source/info source iocns from RSA1 screen shot if possible.

Try to create info pack under data source and share that screen also.

Hi,

in 7.x your using info source.

By seeing your first 2 screen shtos, your data source in 3.x only.

Your selecting 3.x info osurce to create info pack.

At first screen if you observe there is blue square mark which indicates its in 3.x version.

It is migrated to 7.x as we are using DTP and Transformation in 7.x flow. But since it was already working on 3.x before the migration there is square mark. At present it is using 7.x flow and in that also info source is being used. My flow is totally new in which there is no infosource. Data moving directly from PSA to DSO.
