Preventive maint. Single cycle Error

Dear Expert,

When I am creating maintenance Plan for equipment following error is appearing,

A counter could not be defined for the reference object

Message no. IP465

Diagnosis

You have attempted to assign a counter to the maintenance plan. However, a counter cannot be determined from the reference object ( equipment or functional location).

System Response

The system does not propose a counter.

Procedure

Determine a counter manually using the search help

But I have not maintained any counter.

Please guide me how to resolve it.

Just I tried this scenario.

Even though the message you provided has been shown as Information message & try to skip that message, one another message is coming as error message.

Maintain a counter for the maintenance cycle

Message no. IP117

So, you can't create Performance based Maintenance plan without Counter.

This is just Information message. You can skip that.

Else create Counter for that Equipment with same UoM with annual estimate as Performance based plan requires counter to be maintained.
