How to recreate SLT configuration?

Hello,

We have setup replication from our ECC system to HANA for a HANA Live Scenario. The configuration in SLT was created successfully and we have replicated data as well as installed the HANA Live Content. However, when I created the SLT configuration I did not select the option "Read from single client" and I'm being asked to change it so that data is only extracted from one client.

Does anyone know what are the proper steps to recreate the SLT Configuration and if there would be any impact to our already created views?

Hi Maria,

there're no way to fix this option. The main reason is the different triggers conditions. But if you even could manage recreate triggers you will lost some data from as from your current client and from another clients that didn't replicated before.

In such case only one recommendation - delete and create configuration from the scratch. Use also hint Gregor as prerequisities steps.

I manged to change the client setting for a configuration using description in note 2636999 and the help information (i) in the report IUUC_REDEFINE_DB_TRIGGERS.

I changed from read from all clients to read from one client.

As said deleting and creating a new schema would solve your problem, Let us know in case of any issue.

Hello Maria,

as far as I know, there's no way to change the "read from single client" setting when you've done the configuration.

Just redo the configuration.

Before that, delete your configuration.

And, before deleting, copy the list of replicated tables to an xls-sheet - like that you can upload it once again.

Impact: Maybe you'll have to do a schema-mapping between the old(deleted) schema and the new schema.
