"An error has occurred: Could not find the document", on opening the BO report in Portal

Hi,

I need help, when I want to see the report Webi or Dahsboard in Portal, the message is "An error has occurred: Could not find the document." when accessing the BO report using open document.

The URL is:

http://<host>:8080/BOE/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?sIDType=CUID&iDocID=AeE6R_0DHeRDkOdNQJX...

We already have many BO reports (dashboards and Webi) successfully running in the production environment, but for this new report we are getting this error. The difference found in this report is when accessing the BO report using open document URL directly in browser only allows me to use the authentication "sap" but we are working with "Enterprise" authentication. Additionally, I work with SSO.

Is the problem configuration changes related to SAP/Enterprise authentication or user authorizations? I am confused because others BO reports successfully running in KM Portal. I read posts about user authorizations and SAP/Enterprise authenticacion, I think it´s the second.

What changes should I make?

Thanks for your help.

Regards

Amado Gonzalez

Check if the CUID or IDOC ID corresponds with the report, mainly in Fiori to BO calls.

KM is such an old product, you should use DocumentList or DocumentView iViews for access to BOE reports.

However, your issue most likely related to KM config for this report. You should review the configuration with your basis and compare it with other reports that are working.

The error means one of two things:

  • The specified CUID does not exist
  • The user does not have access to the document

If you're confident that the document exists, then the problem is most likely the second point.

Hi Amado,

Is the issue only occurring when using Internet Explorer? If so, I suspect that the most likely cause for the issue is as described in SAP Note 2423510 - Cannot open Webi Document With Prompts using IE.

Kind regards,
